Last week students learned about a variety of animals and their superpowers. From these explorations, students should choose 1 animal to focus on for their wearable project.

Have students take a deep dive into exploring their chosen animal's superpower features. Ask students to consider the following questions: What makes their animal special? How might they imitate that special feature/quality/behaviour of their chosen animal?

To further familiarize themselves with their animal, have them create quick models with clay or detail sketches with the superpower in use. Allow the last 5 minutes of class to be dedicated to the students thinking about how they might make a wearable item that represents their animal's superpower.

 Materials Needed:

  1. Air-dry clay / coloured clay
  2. Sketching materials
